I already have my eyebrow peirced but now its all healed up and no longer oozing, so I'm ready for something else. I'm not getting my tattoo until March (when my friend turns 18... we're going together) and I'm seriously considering getting my tongue peirced. What do you think? Yes- poke another hole in my face, or No- be boring forever!  ;D |

Hmmm good question. I think yes, but only if you are up for the infection in your mouth. My (EX!!!) best friend's sister got it done and it was pretty gross for a while. But after the initial pain, it looks pretty cool!
I want my belly button peirced but 1) parents suck and 2) I'm not skinny enough LOL.

My friend in MD got her tongue peirced when i was there... it swelled up for a day or two but it wasnt really bad. If you're careful with it then it shouldnt get infected but swell, it does. After all, you're basically just punching a hole thru a big muscle and then leaving a big peice of metal in the hole. Mmm... who wants steak??!!?? |

YES! Get it done! I wouldn't mind having mine done, but alas -- the parentals won't even let me get my belly button done...Their excuse? Its dangerous...yeahhh suree! I wear a tankini anyway, I don't like my stomach, so I guess its not that bad of them...hehe. I want a tattoo too, on my hip -- a star thats outlined in dark purple and the inside is my skin.

Tongue, bleh. Wouldn't eating and drinking and stuff be kind of gross? Ewwww I would never want a piece of metal in my mouth all the time- finally out of braces.  Bellybutton rings are awesome though and my mom would let me get it done but I'm too chicken, lol.  Maybe I'll just get a fake one cause they're really cute. |

Tongue piercing... what ever floats your boat. I wouldn't mind getting it done, although I know it wouldn't last long. I do know that it's a common (mis)conception that girls who get their tongue pierced... errr... umm... well nevermind. <br> Also depending on what gauge you get, any time of heavy metal one will bang your teeth and chip the enamel off of it. By the way, I post here sometimes, although I am no longer a junior. I'm just lurking for now  |

I say go for it, if you want a hole in your tounge! I would never do it, actually thinking about someone grabbing my tounge and poking a hole thru it makes me wince. And then about the eating and drinking...knowing me, I'd prolly swallow my tounge ring. As for the bellybutton ring, I would love to have one, but I'm waaaay tickilish! My guy-friend (not really a boyfriend...more like a friend with benefits, if ya get what I mean?) will be hugging me, and touch my stomach, and I'll practically keel over I'm so ticklish. Having someone poke a hole in my tummy would send me into giggles for hours and they would never beable to finish the job. ;D But they do look cool. |

I ended up doing my bellybutton and I really like it. Still not opposed to maybe getting my tongue peirced at some point. Maybe after the tattoo? ;D
